Message	the plenum mounted on the engine. That being said I am swaying toward, sure why not. One aspect I like about it is that it will make future detailing easier. Speaking from experience, as the plenum needs touch up polishing it is had to get to the areas you have painted red, so that will be easier later down the road. Bottom line it is your car so do what you like, plus it is different than I have ever seen before. Kudos for new thinking.
